Our Organization

The CoopersWest Insurance Agency was created in January 2004, when the owner of the Dale G. Cooper Insurance Agency, Joel Chambers, purchased the Worthington Euhus Insurance Agency in Imperial and formed a new entity, CoopersWest Insurance Agency, LLC.  Following Mr. Chamber’s untimely death in May 2005, twenty-three year veteran employee, Laura Goodsell, managed the agency. In December 2005, Mrs. Goodsell and her husband Michael purchased CoopersWest Insurance Agency, LLC from the Chambers Family.

The Dale G. Cooper Insurance Agency had operated continuously as an Independent insurance agency since being founded in 1916 by Dale G. Cooper. The Agency had only four ownership changes during its existence.

The Worthington Euhus Insurance Agency was founded by Howard Worthington in 1965 and later purchased by Don Euhus who changed the name to Worthington Euhus Insurance Services, Inc.

The Agency maintains two offices.  The main office is in Holtville with a satellite office in Imperial. CoopersWest Insurance Agency, LLC has licensed agents, Laura Goodsell, Kay Goodspeed, Debbie Baro, and Alicia Meraz who have been with the Agency for over one and one-half decades.  In addition, the agency has one part time bookkeeper, Arona Farris.

The Agency’s three major insurance companies, Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co., through which we have been doing business since 1916, Safeco Insurance Co. since 1988, and Allied Insurance Co. are Bests “A” rated companies associated and are strong independent-agency-committed companies. Other fine companies associated with our Agency are Financial Indemnity, Foremost, and Meadowbrook Insurance Company.

Our Agency has managed to maintain its stability during these last several years by hard work and dedication, and we plan to continue these same efforts in the future.
